of State for Foreign affairs to refer to Colonial Office

letter Bo. 30045/1927 (Secret) of rebruary 1st regarding

the possible repercussions of events in Chine on public

opinion in Malaya, and to state that he concurs in the

desirability of giving effect to the suggestion of the

Governor of the Straits Settles nts that & warship should

if possible be aetached to singapore.
